The Museum, operated by the Vancouver Maritime Museum Society (VMMS) houses the historic RCMP St. Roch vessel and explores Canadian Maritime and Arctic heritage.

Managed $1.1 million annual operating budget. Reversed the City of Vancouver’s decision to close the VMMS in 2009. Secured guaranteed funding for three consecutive years — the first time ever! Reduced the VMMS deficit over consecutive years of operation.

Launched the innovative exhibit MELTDOWN: Oceans react to climate change. Directed and completed the landmark VMMS Collections Analysis and Assessment.

Celebrated: 50th anniversary of the VMM, 80th anniversary of the voyage of St. Roch, and 250th anniversary of Captain George Vancouver’s landing.

Canada Post Unveils Captain George Vancouver Stamp on the Shores of English Bay
