Initiated and directed the launch, brand positioning, marketing, operational vision and direction of the $15 million Imax Dome Theatre Developed effective and successful general sales promotions, advertising and marketing strategies and revenue streams with tourism, travel trade and marketing partners to substantially increase visitor volume revenue and net income. Led a team of 20 employees
Exceeded revenue targets by 30%, and achieved an annual attendance of 450,000 and revenues of $2 million.
On this day in 1996, we opened our OMNIMAX Theatre to the public. Thanks to IMAX technology, a Canadian invention, visitors can travel to the four corners of the Earth–and beyond–without ever leaving their seats. Ontario’s only IMAX Dome, the OMNIMAX Theatre gives movie-goers of all ages an opportunity to be immersed in a larger-than-life, surround-sound environment. Since opening, the theatre has seen almost 7.5 million audience members through field trips, family outings and even first dates. Here’s to another 25 years!
